The Maui Photo Bus, based out of Kihei, Hawaii, is a vintage mobile wedding photo booth that services the entire island of Maui. The 1970 turquoise VW camper van, known as Luana, provides a memorable photo booth experience on wheels. The bus is filled with suitcases full of props and promises some groovy wedding photos. Make your big day even more memorable for you and your guests with The Maui Photo Bus.

Luana is equipped with a professional camera, lighting, a 21-inch touchscreen monitor, high-speed printer, and dozens of fun party props. The bus is rented per hour and must be booked for a minimum of three hours. All photo bus packages include a bus attendant, custom photo strip templates, digital image files, and photo strip prints for each of your guests.

I’ve photographed hundreds of Maui weddings, so you can feel confident working with someone familiar with the island’s unique environment. And with my experience comes an ability to see beyond my lens. I’ll notice the strand of hair that’s out of place and lay your train across the sand just so.

I get to know each couple to understand their vision and style. We’ll work together to ensure that your day and images are as unique and stunning as you are.

And I’ll immerse myself in your wedding day. This way, when you or anyone else looks through your wedding photos, they’ll be then and there. Memories from Maui, brought back to life and shared for generations.

My passion has always been centered around food and the way it brings people together. Growing up in Eugene, Oregon, the oldest of 5 with a single mom is where my roots in the kitchen began.  My mother raised all of us vegetarian and encouraged a healthy lifestyle.

When I was 16, I started my baking career.  My sisters, my mom and I all worked a local artisanal bakery where my culinary skills blossomed.  I had the opportunity to become the pastry chef where I continued to work for 10 years during which I started my own wedding cake business.  The owner of the bakery related how important traveling to Europe aka Paris would be to hone my skills … so off I went!  This sparked even further my obsession with travel and regional cuisine.

I moved to Maui in 2007 where I met the love of my life and made this beautiful island my home.  I worked at some of West Maui’s world renowned restaurants where I cultivated my dream of Ariele’s Kitchen.  When 2020 hit I found myself cooking and sharing my food with friends and family.  Word spread throughout the community and that is where Ariele’s Kitchen was born.

The world is my oyster for this mermaid with a whisk!!!

Our flagship salon located in Paramus, NJ opened in 2006 with a single mission in mind of helping brides find their dream gown. In 2022 we moved across the highway and opened our new flagship salon transitioning to a more modern showroom.  Our intention is still to provide brides and customers with a luxurious, couture experience without a couture price tag.

In 2019, after 15+ years spinning in NYC, LA, Vegas and across the globe, James Vincent relocated to Hawaii. Since that time he has been performing at many of Hawaii’s most sought after venue locations including Four Seasons, Kualoa Ranch, Sunset Ranch, Waimea Valley, Turtle Bay, Moana Surfrider, Loulu Palms Estate and more. Like many of his peers, DJ James Vincent grew up listening to and being inspired by the trailblazing music of Run DMC, The Beastie Boys, De La Soul and The Roots.

In 2015, thanks to an encyclopedic knowledge of music and the innate ability to intuitively read a crowd in a darkened nightclub anywhere in the world, James is now working alongside many of those same musical icons he grew up admiring. His career has taken him from creating a soundtrack for 20,000 in the Sahara tent at Coachella to spinning a private party with Questlove for the New York Jets at Super Bowl XLVIII and to slots opening for John Legend at House of Blues in Los Angeles, sharing decks with Run DMC and DJ AM and DJing for Dido on the Lilith Fair tour and across the Atlantic to spin for Paris Fashion Week. His remixes and songwriting credits for rockers Bush and Citizen Cope, meanwhile, have netted him two gold records and a “Best Song” MTV Movie Award. His original music can be heard on Entourage, An American Werewolf in Paris, Coach Carter and Accepted

My journey into photography started with my love for travel and planning my own wedding through graduate school. Life eventually brought us to Hawaii in 2014 where my business was born and grew into the thriving business that it is today! I now have photographed hundreds of families and weddings!

I always had a creative heart in me but never had the chance to embrace it until Hawaii came along. Which is why this place will always hold a special place in my heart. In this journey I realized that my true passion lies in creating art of people who madly love each other. Be that a mom with a new baby or a couple about to start the greatest chapter of their lives! I capture love, life and all the silly, fun and memorable moments in between. I live for the moments (and golden sunsets!) and photographs bursting with emotion, you know, the kind that makes you feel all the feels. Yep, that’s it!

Masako Formals was opened over 40 years ago in Ala Moana in 1977, by Fumiko Yamamoto at the brave age of 50 with her daughter Kumi. The mother-daughter duo moved from Japan to Honolulu with the dream of helping local women in Hawaii with their weddings.

Kumi has run the store with the assistance of her husband Don until his passing in 2019. Kumi is involved in every level of the business — from traveling to designer houses around the world to select our inventory, to assisting with wedding ceremonies all over the island — you may even find her checking in on a first dress fitting appointment here in our shop. Kumi’s hard work ethic combined with a laid back style defines the Masako Formals experience.
