Situated on Ali‘i Drive in Kailua-Kona on the Island of Hawai‘i, Hulihe‘e Palace was built in 1838 as the vacation residence of Hawaiian royalty and to this day contains unique and priceless artifacts and treasures of the Hawaiian people. The Palace grounds set the stage for a perfect sunset wedding, as sounds of the ocean float over you and your guests. The spacious entry hall provides a gracious setting to welcome your loved ones. On a trip to California, King Kalākaua acquired several redwood pillars, which combined with a marble bust, still watches over the entry hall today. Portraits of various monarchs, King Kalākaua’s writing desk and several pieces of koa furniture complete the furnishings of the entry hall. Outdoor events are held year round and you can be sure your guests will marvel in the surrounding architecture and historical significance of the venue.
