a.ell atelier strives to bring nature into everyday life. a.ell design clothing uses natural fibers (hemp, bamboo, organic cotton). Collaborating with local artisans,  jewelers, makers and more inspired by the natural world.

Angelique Ell is the founder, owner, and chief designer of a.ell design. She grew up in Brookings, on the Southern Oregon coast and studied fashion design in Seattle before moving to Kauai in 1998. The origins of a.ell atelier began with custom orders for wedding dresses and hemp clothing sold at local farmer’s markets. Once Angelique had built a solid client base she opened a workshop and small retail space in 2005. The store originally only carried a.ell design clothing and accessories, but eventually expanded to carry other artisans’ work. In 2009 a.ell atelier opened its current location in Old Kapaa Town in Kauai. In 2014 Angelique, returning to her roots, expanded once again back to Oregon. She works out of her studio in the Redwoods continuing to create the a.ell design clothing line.
